Reiki I
Date: September 14, 2024
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Prerequisite: None
Description of Class: Students will be guided through a mindful exercise to calm, center, and ground the mind and body; receive the fundamentals of Reiki; learn the traditional story of how Reiki landed in the United States; receive Reiki I attunement; and practice self-Reiki, Reiki with a partner and group Reiki.
Reiki II
Date: September 15, 2024
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Prerequisite: Reiki I
Description of Class: Students will be guided through a mindful exercise to calm, center, and ground the mind and body; receive components related to the seven major chakras and Reiki II symbols; practice self-Reiki (if time permits), Reiki with a partner (hands-on and at a distance using Reiki II symbols) and group Reiki.

A Special Opportunity
I am happy to share that I will be presenting September's upcoming Reiki I and II workshops at The John Thompson Legacy Center, a non-profit created in honor of John Thompson, a community leader who was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death row. The center that is located in New Orleans' 7th Ward provides support and resources to formally incarcerated people (FTPs) and their families.
Myself in conjunction with The Toshii School of Wellness are offering two full scholarships valued at $300.00 each and two partial scholarships valued at $150.00 each to individuals touched by the impacts of the incarcerated system.
To apply for the scholarship, please submit a five hundred word essay to toshiikdcooper@gmail.com explaining why you should receive the award. The essay must include your legal name, age, where you're from, how you were touched by the incarcerated system and why do you want to become a Reiki Practitioner. The scholarships will be given on a first come, first serve basis where the full scholarships will be given first followed by the partial scholarships. Those awarded the partial scholarships, must pay the balance of $150.00 by Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in order to take the workshops on September 14 - 15, 2024. Single Workshops
To register for a single workshop, Reiki I, please send a request for a registration link to toshiikdcooper@gmail.com. Please note that a single workshop does not yield CE credits. You must take Reiki I and II to receive Louisiana Massage Therapy CE credits.
What To Bring
Massage table, two pillows or a bolster and a pillow, at least one sheet and a blanket, notebook/pad and pen or pencil. Let us know if you do not have access to a massage table. We may be able to provide one for you during the workshops you have signed up for.
Light snacks and water will be provided. You are welcomed to bring snacks or lunch.
What To Wear
Loose, comfortable clothing. No shorts.
Cancellation Policy
Tuition is refundable, less a $50.00 administrative fee, up to 30 days prior to the start of the class. Tuition is not refundable with less than 30 days until the start of class. Refund requests must be made in writing and sent to toshiikdcooper@gmail.com.
Workshops Must Have a Minimum of Four Students Each Day
These workshops must have a minimum of four students each day to avoid cancellation of Reiki I and II Workshops, altogether. In the event the workshops are cancelled due to lack of registrants, a full refund will be given to paid registrants.

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique that promotes harmony within your TOTAL being - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It can help to release blocked energy, promote relaxation, reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of depression, as well as reduce and/or eliminate pain.
It is a non-invasive technique administered with the client fully clothed by 'laying of hands' on the client's body and hands hovering above the body.
Workshop participants will be certified under the Usui Reiki Method which can be administered one of two ways, in person (hands on) or at a distance.
Becoming certified in Reiki will compliment many current Wellness Practices, nicely, (like massage therapy, acupuncture, hypnosis, and more) in addition to being a standalone modality in a new Wellness Practice. Some Cancer Treatment Centers, hospices, and hospitals are working with Reiki Practitioners to help comfort and provide overall wellness for patients and their loved ones.
It's a great modality to apply to oneself. That's right! Reiki Practitioners can reap all of the benefits of Reiki by applying the ancient healing technique to themselves.

meet YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Greetings everyone! Thank you for your interest! My experience within the Health and Wellness industry spans over two decades. In addition to being a Massage Therapist for over twenty years and a Massage Therapy Instructor for seven plus years, I am a Reiki Practitioner of eighteen years and a Reiki Master of fourteen, during which I have been actively certifying individuals in this awesome modality. I teach the workshops as continuing education for massage therapists and other service providers, in addition to teaching individuals with genuine interest to heal self, others, and the planet, as a whole. You do not need any previous knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the physical or energetic bodies to become a Reiki Practitioner.
As an inventor, my extensive study and practice of healing the body energetically, led me to create the Atoning Chakra Massage (ACM) - a modality that collectively treats the mind, body, and spirit via the chakra and meridian systems.
It's my passion about human energy fields and the innate empowerment one embodies in life once they tune into their true potential that motivates me to share my knowledge, enthusiastically, with the world.
